ASHI, Haryana has been successful in providing good schooling to many children. A number of those after finishing their studies need financial help to start their entrepreneurial ventures or to pursue higher studies or meet some other expenses to settle down in life. Keeping this requirement in mind Project Swavlamban was launched in 2017. Under this scheme needy students are provided interest free loans from funds of ASHI, Haryana to help them settle down in life. Ms. Lakshmi is an example. She had completed her Diploma in Nursing and had got a job offer from a hospital at Singapore. She needed help to meet travel costs and to defray other costs to help settle down in a foreign country. An advance of Rs 2 lakh was given to her. It is a matter of great satisfaction that she has already repaid that loan.
